Kaghan Valley of Pakistan
Nature has been very kind to make and beautify the earth for human beings. Kaghan Valley is one of the most beautiful places in Pakistan. A large number of people go every year to see the valley they visit the place and enjoy its scenic beauty.
The valley is known after the name of a small town, kaghan. It is the valley of Kunhar River that flow in the area. The valley spreads along the river from an elevation of 2,134 to 2,173 metres. It is 155 kilometres long. This place is free from pollution. The valley present and extended natural scenic beauty with it is mountains, hills, lakes, waterfalls and glaciers.
Kaghan Valley is situated in Mansehra District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan. The weather in the valley is very cool and pleasant from Mat to September. Winters the very cold and freezing in the valley, so the tourist does not visit the valley during winters. Their route to Kangan is through Balakot, Abbottabad and Mansehra. The road goes up and up the mountain winding through the lovely tall tree.
Shogran is situated at two hours drive from Balakot. Shogran is a small village surrounded by forest and peaks of hills and mountains. The well known Siri Payay mountain is also a place worth seeing. The view is breathtaking. Naran is another small village on the way to Kaghan. It is a three hour easy walk to lake Saif-ul-Muluk; the most wonderful sight in Kaghan Valley.
The lake is a Lovely sport for a picnic and environment. The water of the shines blue and green because there is no pollution at all. People come here from far and wide and stay at their leisure. Lake Saif-ul-Muluk is named after a legendary prince. The lake is located at a height of 3,000 metres from the sea level.
In Kunhar River you find trout fish which is very tasty and nutritions. There it is a large number of restaurants, hotels and tourist resorts. In the Persian language, they say that listening and seeing can never be alive. Your visit to the Kaghan Valley will bear the truth of the Persian saying.
